A great New Years party at Riad Lahboul

Our hosts Mouna and Simon, along with their children and Simon's mother, allowed us and our fellow guests, French school teachers, Bruno and Agnes Castell, to enjoy New Year's Eve with their friends. Surprise guests were the local tourist police who stayed only briefly . Food and music were great.

Meanwhile , back at the Riad..

Some images I shot after breakfast... On the terrace of the Riad

Our day trip to Volubilis and Moulay Idriss

Mouna gave us great tour today along with a couple from France. We first of all spent a couple of hours at Volubilis, Roman ruins, dating from before AD 40. Then we visited the holy town of Moulay Idriss, including a olive oil works. I will let some of my images tell the story.

Heading out to Volubilis

Vivienne and I are heading out with our host, Mouna this morning to see the ruins of Volubilis.
So because of the time zone differences we will say Happy New Year to you all
I expect to have lots of images later.

Our first walk around the Medina in Meknes

Mouna guided us up the alley ways from her 200 year old Riad to the Medina. Wow what a cacophony of people, traffic and sites.

Scenes in and around Riad Lahboul

Settling in. Had a nice cup of mint tea and a chat with Simon. Here are some of my first shots .
